Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP)

Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP)

The Nesbitt Centre registered in 2013 as the first centre for students with learning disabilities to become a User Unit in Hong Kong.

Our AYP programme has gone from strength to strength. In 2104, Daniel Faizullabuoy received his Bronze award, with three others Joshua Winslow, Jennifer Means and Olive Brough currently working on the last section of their Bronze Award. They are expected to complete their program in October this year (2015).

In October 2014, 5 students (Jennifer Means, Steffi Man, Oliver Brough, Joshua Winslow and Peter Turcotte) enrolled for their Silver Level Expedition Course. They completed their award program in February 2015 after working through a series of challenges such as field trip planning, and Silver Expedition Course.

And, it doesn’t stop there – they are now working on the other sections for the attainment of this Silver Award – service, skill and physical.
